Military History
Quarterly - Winter 2013
Purchased a few days go.
Various short essays on different periods of military history,
including Korean women used as sex slaves during WW2 and the Falklands War. An article on whether Custer could have won Little Big
Horn, devastation in Jerusalem after the First Crusade, a comparison of
Irish Rebellion methods to that of the Taliban and Vietcong, a look at Aaron
Burr, a review of some of Cecil Beaton's WWII photographs, the Dreyse needle
gun at the 1864 Battle of Lundby in Denmark, the US tradition of burying fallen
service members abroad, and the search for Marine remains at the site of the August
17, 1942 Makin Raid in the Pacific.
Also, reviews of military history
exhibits, books, etc.
Articles aren't too long but are meant to question prevailing thought and provide new interpretations. Good
graphics and photos.
